You may have already heard: in a scandal that ripped across the internet, passed in outraged whispers between friends and coworkers, and in general unsettled his city, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio was caught doing the unthinkable last Friday—eating pizza with a fork and knife.
According to New York Magazine, he was getting lunch at Goodfellas Pizza on Staten Island, where he was spotted using utensils to eat his pie and—for reasons unknown—switching back and forth between his fork and knife and dining with his hands like any sane, normal person. Plenty of people had something to say about it, but one person in particular was especially offended.
The Daily Show host Jon Stewart is no stranger to pizza outrage (including past responses to this precise transgression)...and he had some words to share on De Blasio's eating habits. You can see the video clip below, but his point of view is pretty succinctly summed up with the following: "Eat your pizza like a disgusting savage just like everyone else in this city!"
