We've waxed poetic on Serious Eats about Sullivan Street Bakery, but Slice has yet to feature this little beauty of a slice. The Jim Lahey pizza bianca base sings plenty as a stand alone; airy and pliant, it makes a perfect backdrop for any topping. While some may scoff at the idea of topping pizza with broccoli's albino cousin, when roasted up in the Sullivan Street Bakery ovens, the tiny white crowns are transformed into crunchy, toasty caramelized bits atop creamy, tender stalks. Add to that a little garlic pungency, red pepper heat, briny olives, and a sparing sprinkle of Parmesan and you have a slice you'll want to return for again and again. This is one pizza that has the power to convert. If you've ever doubted cauliflower's topping potential, you need to eat this slice.
