We've been happy to support Slice Out Hunger, where Scott Weiner of Scott's Pizza Tours brought together some of the city's best pizzerias— John's, Joe's, Di Fara, Keste, Motorino, and many more—into one room for a fundraiser benefiting City Harvest. Every entrant bought $1 tickets that could get you a slice from one of the city's select pizzerias—over 475 boxes' worth.
Pizzas disappeared quickly, and the crowds were fierce—we got in line half an hour before the event, made a beeline for Di Fara, and they'd still managed to sell out already!—which meant that Slice Out Hunger raised $12,900 for City Harvest.
Here's a look at just a few of the many, many slices that got devoured last night.
