If you're roaming the streets of Chicago craving a slice of stuffed pizza and don't have the time or the desire for a whole pie, your options are limited. Among the better purveyors of this cheese-heavy treat, only Art of Pizza (reviewed here) sells slices. Another option is to go to one of four locations of Chicago's Pizza, where stuffed slices can be had for $3.65, including tax. I'm not going to pretend this is a delicious slice of pizza, but it can satisfy a craving like the one I had earlier this week which led me to stop in. The sauce is very heavy on the herbs, and the thick tomato sauce tastes like more than a little citric acid made its way into the can. The thick layer of cheese is fine, especially on a cold winter night, but the dry crust comes up a bit short, though it has plenty of salt and a decent flaky texture.

To the extent any greatness can be attributed to Chicago's Pizza, it's in their late night hours. Three of the four locations are open and offer delivery until 5:00 AM. If you're ordering pizza that late at night, chances are this stuff is going to hit the spot.
