When Adam Kuban wrote about the Brooklyn location of Forcella earlier this year, he raved about the fried pizza but gave points to the Neapolitan pies, too. From their new Bowery location, we were big fans of the Fuorigrotta ($14). The crust is crisp, chewy, a little bit charred and all those things we like; my one criticism would be that parts of the crust were a little bit doughy in the middle. (But that's a very minor point.)

I love sharp, strong flavors on pizza, and think that the peppery bite of arugula, salty sprinkled Pecorino, and razor-thin slices of lemon all play nicely together atop the fresh mozzarella base. Super-thin lemon slices might be one of my favorite ingredients these days.
